Well, as of the last 18 hours...we are at an all clear on the stomach bug...I can hardly even hope that this is the end. I am slightly amazed that as of now...Tank has still managed, in a way only he could, to elude the dreaded bug. I'm thankful for that because it just doesn't seem the same when he's not smiling.
So for now...thanks for the prayers for our health. I have much to be thankful for. Today was a good, productive (HALF!) day at work so I am hoping for a VERY productive FULL day tomorrow. I've got much to get accomplished, but I'm so thankful for all the dear ones I work with that have been understanding of my "unplanned" (like, who would PLAN this?!??!) absence.
On a completely different subject... I had a "shake your shoulders" kind of a reminder about the importance of the marriage vows today. A situation came up at work with a family not too different from my own... 3 young children with parents who are relatively successful...planning on a divorce! That shakes me to the core on so many levels...marriage is work...hard work... but the only thing I can think of in life that doesn't come as the result of hard work (on my part) is the gift of salvation , but the rest...friendships, marriage, childbirth, child rearing...all hard work...worth every bit of the "blood, sweat, and tears" that go into them, but they take work nonetheless. But for the grace of God go I---may Sam and I continue to keep Christ as the center of our marriage, and may we continue to work together and separately towards the ultimate goal that our marriage be a reflection of Christ's sacrificial love for us.
It's time for bed here...I know, I'm getting old. :) We're praying for continued health and preparing for our upcoming weekend and following week of company...
Glad to hear you are feeling better! A comforting thought, that the Lord does control and ordain each step of our lives. We are blessed with wonderful husbands. I pray, like you, that our marriage is a reflection of the goodness of God. Have a great, busy week!
