Well, since our wonderful snow day on Wednesday, my family has been bit by the stomach bug. First it was Little Man, then it was our Girlie... the Sam...I succumbed last night around midnight! UGH!!! Tank has still managed to hold out, but I have to say I don't have much hope for that to stay the case...oh ye, of little faith, I know...but it's just been plain ole' nasty around her...nasty!!!
It's hard being a Mommy and being sick...none of the little ones seem to realize that you're sick...so they still come to you for dirty diapers (UGH!!)...for comfort...for a refill on their cup. I'm thankful for Sam; he's tried so hard to give me the opportunity to rest today, but he can only do so much.
I'm worrying...yes, I'm worrying. This is an especially important week at school this week---most importantly tomorrow. I'm not sure how that's going to look for a family that is just digging themselves out of several days of ickiness. I know that none of this is a surprise to God; He knows the timing. And I am sure that I need to learn the lesson that He is in control. I am striving to give it over to the Lord...the details of how this week will play out...not just our family's recovering from the bug, but also all the events of this week at school. I am thankful that I do not have to orchestrate things that my God controls my goings in and my goings out.
We are to have company coming this Friday for the weekend, and then a couple is spending the following week with us so that they can attend a conference at our church. Believe me Lysol has become my best friend. I want to be sure that not only do we stay free of this bug, but that we don't share this with our company. Because we all know that some things are better NOT shared!!! :)
If you think of us...pray for us. We have so much to thankful for I am reminded of that on a daily basis, but God cares about and controls even the "little" details of our lives...like the icky stomach bug!!!
Hoping that I can be better about this here blog in the coming weeks...thanks to those who have encouraged me to keep at it. I've enjoyed it. It has always helped me to put my thoughts into words, and this blog has certainly been an encouragement to me so far.
Until next time, dear ones...stay healthy!!!
have prayed and will keep praying. love, your would-be company :)
